Stephanie Riordan has spent the past 18 years leading marketing strategy for a diverse portfolio of Coca-Cola foodservice customers. In her role as Senior Marketing Strategist she has led brand repositioning, product launches and consumer-centric integrated marketing Prior to Coca-Cola, Stephanie was with GDR Advertising and Martin/Williams agencies where she managed planning and implementation for DuPont Corian, U.S. Bank, Little Tikes, and Marvin Windows. She has been an avid reader and library card holder from an early age and she wants to continue to foster the library’s development for future generations.

Jim Sterne focuses his thirty-five years in sales and marketing on creating and strengthening customer relationships through digital communications. Sterne has remained active producing the Marketing Analytics Summit since 2002 and as cofounder and Board Chair Emeritus of the Digital Analytics Association. Sterne is on the Advisory Board of a variety of startups, is a business growth consultant, and the author of twelve books on Internet advertising, marketing and customer service Sterne is a longtime fan of libraries and worked at the UCSB Library in the 1970's. He is delighted to become reacquainted with the SBPL as a Board Member of the Foundation.

Art Merovick is the former Head of Upper School at Buckley Country Day School in New York, former Dean of Students at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and former Headmaster of Laguna Blanca. He has recently retired from the dual positions of Director of Development at The Cancer Center of Santa Barbara and Senior Search Consultant for Wickenden Associates in Princeton, where he conducted over 60 searches for Heads of School.

Belma Michael Johnson has served as a creative executive in a variety of fields in the entertainment industry. He has worked in positions in front of the camera and behind, in music marketing and talent development, including as a music-magazine writer and editor; television host and producer; show creator and production-staff member; content provider; and website creator. As his journey took him from print journalism to TV journalism; news to entertainment; and from the music business to the education field, one thing has remained constant — Johnson is a storyteller.

Roy Martinez has spent his entire career in the banking industry. The last fourteen years he has been focused on private banking/wealth management and is part of the team that opened City National Bank’s Private Banking office in Montecito in 2014. He is a strong believer in the power of books to open the world to readers and in the vital role public libraries play in providing free access to books, information and resources to all members of the community.

David McFadden was born and raised in Santa Barbara. After graduating from UCSB, he moved to Washington, DC to attend medical school at George Washington University. David returned to Santa Barbara to continue work with the same DC-based radiology practice he joined in 2003, now focused on critical care via telemedicine. He first supported the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation by becoming a member of the Major Gifts Committee and helped with fundraising for the Library Plaza Campaign..

Originally from Mexico City, Irene Kelly, was introduced to the space of Economic Development after an internship took her to Kathmandu, Nepal where she started working at an extreme poverty alleviation organization called CHOICE Humanitarian. Afterwards, she moved to Santa Barbara to work as a Financial Advisor providing financial guidance and education to the community and currently works as the Financial Education and Community Engagement Manager at Women Economic Ventures. Irene enjoys teaching financial empowerment classes at the Santa Barbara Public Library and is also a certified Yoga instructor and the co-founder of a health and wellness podcast in Spanish called Cafecito a tu Salud.

Jim Jackson is a Santa Barbara native whose family has resided in Montecito for over 100 years. Since 2001, he is currently Vice President and COO for Solvang’s Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort, a family business started by his grandfather in 1946. Jackson has been a member of the board of the Braille Institute of America, the Cancer Center/Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara, Direct Relief, Laguna Blanca School and served on the capital campaign for the cabinets of All Saints-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church and Child Abuse Listening Mediation (CALM). He first supported the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation by co-chairing the campaign to rebuild the children’s wing of the Santa Barbara Public Library and will now be co-chairing the campaign for Library Plaza.

Peter Ginsberg is President of Curtis Brown, following sales and subsidiary rights positions at Doubleday and St. Martin’s Press. He developed the agents’ publishing course at the New York University Center for Book Publishing and has taught at the Stanford Publishing Course and the Stanford Communications Workshops. Peter has served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Authors’ Representatives and the board of the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.

Bob Fulmer is author or co-author of over 150 published articles and almost 40 business books, monographs and editions. As an academic, he taught at Columbia and Emory Universities and held endowed chairs at Trinity, William & Mary, and Pepperdine. He designed and delivered executive seminars in 24 countries and five continents. Bob has held and used a library card since he was four, has a passion for reading and previously served on the Foundation and other non-profit Boards.

Raissa Smorol brings over 25 years of fundraising and donor relations experience to her role as Senior Director, Leadership Giving at the Center for Reproductive Rights. She oversees the teams that secure major and planned gifts, and that produce fundraising events. Prior to joining the Center, she served as Chief Development Officer at the Santa Barbara City College Foundation. She has also led development teams at Direct Relief, and the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara.

Susan Case received a MA degree from Teachers College at Columbia University, and she taught high school English in New York, Boston, and after moving to Phoenix, taught both English and the Humanities in the Maricopa Community College system and in the women’s prison. Among the several boards and organizations, she served on in Phoenix were the Arizona Humanities Council, The Wellesley College Club, the Phoenix Library Foundation and Homeward Bound, a housing project for homeless women and their families. She currently lives in Santa Barbara where she is a member of Social Ventures as well as serving on the Ensemble Theatre Board and supporting both the music academy and the art museum auxiliaries.

Anna Alldredge is the Head of Upper School at Laguna Blanca School. Born and raised in Florida, Anna grew up cherishing her weekly visits to the local library. She earned her B.A. and M.A. at Stanford while captaining the NCAA volleyball team, and completed her doctorate at Vanderbilt. Anna’s career in educational leadership has included public, private, international, and boarding schools, and her throughline has always been a passion for literacy. Anna also serves on the Stanford Alumni Board, the Vanderbilt Advisory Council, the WeTeach Women’s Fund Committee, and as a CASA Advocacy Services Sponsor. Anna treasures combing our Library’s stacks with her children, and believes that libraries are the heartbeats of a community.

Alan Brumberger is a graduate of Yale University, the University of Michigan Law School and Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Brumberger was the Chief Executive Officer and General Securities Principal for Emerald Point Capital, LLC., a FINRA Registered Broker Dealer in New York. He has held numerous leadership positions and Board memberships in various philanthropic organizations and investment banking firms including President and CEO of Shearson American Express International Limited, the firm's international investment banking arm in London. He is excited to do his part to help the Santa Barbara Public Library continue and build upon its remarkable record of being a fundamental community resource in broadening our citizens’ literacy.
