Meet our Foundation Director

Lauren Trujillo, MLIS, CFRE, is the Foundation Director of the Santa Barbara Public Library Foundation. She first came to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB where she received a B.A. in History. She received her Masters in Library and Information Science from UCLA and has worked with several nonprofits and organizations in Santa Barbara, CA including the Isla Vista Memorial Project, the Santa Barbara Mission Archive-Library, the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation, and the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. She sits on the board for the Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara, United for Libraries, Women’s Literary Voices, the Northside Optimist Club, Association for Fundraising Professionals, Environmental Defense Center, and is a member of the Junior League of Santa Barbara.

Meet our Development Assistant

Erin Lynch embarked on her academic journey at SBCC in 2017 before completing a B.A. in English at UCSB in 2023. Erin entered the non-profit sector as the Operations Associate at the Santa Barbara Foundation, finding gratification in the impactful work undertaken. This experience instilled a desire to expand her career trajectory within non-profit organizations. She looks forward to the opportunities for collaboration and community enhancement offered through her new role at the Library Foundation.

Alan Brumberger is a graduate of Yale University, the University of Michigan Law School and Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Brumberger was the Chief Executive Officer and General Securities Principal for Emerald Point Capital, LLC., a FINRA Registered Broker Dealer in New York. He has held numerous leadership positions and Board memberships in various philanthropic organizations and investment banking firms including President and CEO of Shearson American Express International Limited, the firm's international investment banking arm in London. He is excited to do his part to help the Santa Barbara Public Library continue and build upon its remarkable record of being a fundamental community resource in broadening our citizens’ literacy.
