Outreach Programs

Partnerships with Girls, Inc., A-OK, and other organizations extend the reach of the Library to children throughout Santa Barbara.

The Endowment funds a Children’s Community Outreach Coordinator whose work touches the lives of over 30,000 children in our community each year. Outreach programs are always free and welcome public participation.

Outreach staff visit preschools every month to provide entertaining and literacy-rich story time, and visit after-school care sites to give workshops encouraging students to read aloud with friends.
